Adam Levine's recently picked his game up a notch. With The Voice, "Moves Like Jagger" and "Stereo Hearts", he's successfully become a face in the music industry. However, will he be able to keep that streak alive in the future with "Never Gonna Leave This Bed"?
Short answer? No. This song was released as a single by Maroon 5 over four months ago, and has steadily gained popularity. However, it is suffering from a real case of identity crisis. Is this a fast, up-tempo song, or an emotion-filled, slow song? Based on the lyrics and delivery, you would lean towards the latter. However, the music is relatively fast-paced (although slow for a Maroon 5 song) and doesn't fit well with either the lyrics or the delivery.
I am discouraged that this song is getting played on the radio every once in a while. Also, just a suggestion to Maroon 5: Why not release "Stutter" as a single? The song is below, along with the rating for "Never Gonna Leave This Bed".
Rating: 2.5/5 |
