I recently looked over my "Favorite Songs" list, and I realized something: My list contains very few rock songs. Now, if you know me, you'd know that I enjoy a good rock piece, such as "Human" by Carpark North. This song provides a rare, supernatural feel that you don't often get from pure rock, showing that - ironically - rock rolls.

This Week's Youtube: Candy Rapping - DeStorm
Yep. Candy rapping. So simple, yet so complex. Can you make a rap with names of more than 20 candies? DeStorm can with 40, and the story in the song makes sense. So, be a Smartie and click the "Read More" button!
The Project: Mobius Fab 50 - Archive
Hey, everyone! I'm just re-posting some recent Fab 50's that were lost in the site crash. Be sure to read my most recent Fab 50 here!
The Project: Mobius Fab 50 - Week of June 27, 2011
After The Voice last Wednesday, the entire world was rocking to "Moves Like Jagger". It was #1 on the iTunes charts until earlier today, when it was taken off its pedestal. However, was its incredible showing strong enough to take the #1 spot away from a fading Adele in "Rolling in the Deep", or did another song take away the top spot?

It's the Alpocalypse!
That's right! Class clown Weird Al Yankovic's most recent album, "Alpocalypse", was released earlier this week. As always, it's filled with funny parodies of songs from many genres, including rock, pop and hip-hop. However, one song stands out as the ultimate topper from "Alpocalypse". What is it? Read on to find out!

Song of the Day: Never Gonna Leave This Bed - Maroon 5
Adam Levine's recently picked his game up a notch. With The Voice, "Moves Like Jagger" and "Stereo Hearts", he's successfully become a face in the music industry. However, will he be able to keep that streak alive in the future with "Never Gonna Leave This Bed"?

Freaky Friday: Britney Spears' Highly-Referencing "I Wanna Go" Video
Britney Spears has successfully pushed "I Wanna Go" into the limelight with a great video. Don't get me wrong - it's no "Last Friday Night" - but the video for "I Wanna Go" has carefully been crafted with insight to Britney's past, among other things. Wanna watch it? Read on!

Project: Mobius' Favorite Songs: Raining - Kaskade & Adam K (Feat. SunSun)
Note: This was originally written on June 8th, 2011. Luckily, I've been able to recover it from the site crash.
Hey, guys! Right now, the power keeps flashing on and off where I live, so I may be a little late posting this. Why is it doing this, you ask? Well, a powerful thunderstorm is crashing through my neighborhood, mauling everything in sight. Not to worry, though - it's only given me motivation for this week's "Favorite Song", Kaskade and Adam K's "Raining." This song "melts in your ears", and is a great, enjoyable piece for anyone and everyone!
Song of the Day: Talk Talk Talk - Darren Hayes
It's finally here! The complete version of "Talk Talk Talk" was released worldwide hours ago. Although it's destined to become nowhere near popular in America (leading to a 1-week stint on the Fab 50, most likely), this should be heading on a path to success in the UK and Australia. Did the song live up to the 4 years we've been forced to wait for a new Darren Hayes song? Read on to find out!

Project: Mobius' Favorite Songs: Sanctuary - Gareth Emery (Feat. Lucy Saunders)
I personally believe that this is the greatest song Gareth Emery's ever worked on. Providing the perfect mix between a soothing, soft entry to the song and an extravagant, powerful, hip electronic instrumental, "Sanctuary" is sure to be loved by any fan of electronica.

This Week's Youtube: Party on the Floor - DJ Earworm
This week's YouTube video is a little different. Rather than being an artist's song or cover, this is actually a mashup of some of the greatest hits in the UK from the last year. Featuring everyone from Example to Jessie J to Far East Movement, this video really packs a punch, and definitely shouldn't go unnoticed!

SOTDay Bonus: "Moves Like Jagger" - Maroon 5 (Feat. Christina Aguilera)
You've seen The Voice, right? Since American Idol's lost Simon Cowell and turned country, The Voice has become one of the most popular music talent shows. Much of its success is attributed to the coaches (Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera), who are all extremely good artists in their own right. Proof of this comes from Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera's song "Moves Like Jagger", which is set to premiere on The Voice later tonight.

The Project: Mobius Fab 50 - Week of June 20, 2011
Katy Perry has been living a "Teenage Dream" since even before her album came out. She's recorded her fifth top 40 single from the album with "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)", and it looks destined to become her fifth #1 single from the album. However, has it already hit that hallmark rate on the Fab 50? Read on to find out!
Freaky Friday: "Survivor: Redemption Island" Player Stars in "You Lie"
Note: This page was lost after the recent site crash. However, thank you to vwpatterson3 at survivorsucks.yuku.com for posting the information on another site, so I could get it back!
Did anyone watch "Survivor: Redemption Island" this year? The series came to a close earlier this week, but the self-promotion of one of the contestants did not. If you had watched the show, you'd be surprised to know that it was fan-favorite Matt Elrod who starred in The Band Perry's "You Lie".
Matt has not yet technically came out with the truth, but it is quite obvious that he stars in the video when you look at the pictures below. On the left is the man in the video. On the right is Matt at the reunion for "Survivor".
Still don't believe me? Feel free to watch the video below. You've been busted, Matt!

The Glee Project: Gleeality TV At Its Best... Or Worst?
You heard it here first... Well, probably not. Anyways, the folks at Glee realized something: "All of our kids are supposed to graduate next year!". How do they make up for that? To start a reality TV show, of course! The winner earns a 7-episode arc on Glee, with their stay hopefully lasting longer! Who will win? I'm probably wrong, but see my predictions after the "Read More" button!
What the Heck, Blogger?
OK. Blogger, screw you!
Now that I got that off my chest, I would just like to explain why I'm throwing out curses left and right. Well, I was trying to clean up my draft pages in the new Blogger Draft. UNDER DRAFTS, I clicked "Select All" and clicked "Delete". Lo and behold, it deleted EVERY SINGLE POST except for my most recent 10!
If anyone would like to help or has info from any previous articles, please reply here. Thank you for reading, and I hope that you stay coming to my page and won't be affected by the changes too horribly!

Song of the Day: Lighters - Bad Meets Evil (Feat. Bruno Mars)
That's right, Eminem and Royce da 5'9" have reunited again for Bad Meets Evil! With a song featuring Bruno Mars' velvety voice in "Lighters", this song is an unexpected win for both rap lovers and haters. Disagree? Feel free!

Freaky Friday: Was It? Definitely for Katy Perry... and Rebecca Black?
The title really says it all. I already thought this song was going to become a #1 hit, but now "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) is destined for eternal stardom after one of the best music videos ever created, capitalizing on the craziest things in pop culture from now and in the past!

Song of the Day: Stereo Hearts - Gym Class Heroes (Feat. Adam Levine)
After the 2008 Gym Class Heroes album "The Quilt" bombed, Travie McCoy went on a semi-successful solo run let by hit song "Billionaire", which featured Bruno Mars. However, that has since come to an end, and Travie and two-hit wonder Gym Class Heroes are working on their next album, "The Papercut Chronicles II". Their first single since reuniting? "Stereo Hearts", featuring The Voice judge Adam Levine, which was released earlier this week. Will this song propel Travie and GCH back into the music mainstream?
Project: Mobius' Favorite Songs: The Middle - Jimmy Eat World
Hey! Don't write this song off yet! My local radio station, although incredibly crappy, played this song nonstop, along with Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" and Sheryl Crow's "Soak Up the Sun". I'm serious, it's like they'd never heard R&B in their life! Anyways, their incessant playing of the song made me fall in love with it while going to and from school. Everything in this song makes the rebel in you cry out - which I've always loved, such as in the Kaiser Chiefs' "Never Miss a Beat"!

Adele charges to the top of the charts again, after somehow retaining both the #1 spots in airplay and sales in America. Will anyone else have anything for Adele anytime soon?

Song of the Day: Girl Talk - Ultraviolet Sound
Wow. That's the first of many things you'll be saying after you hear this song for the first time. In a freaky mashup of Cascada and Barbie Girl, Ultraviolet Sound pulls out an awkward, yet endearingly catchy and infectious song that you won't be able to stop listening to for days on end.

Freaky Friday: Selena Gomez's "Bang Bang Bomb"
Of all of the Disney stars turned music artists, Selena Gomez may be the one that's most professional. Too bad that hasn't been reflected through her music as of recent, after her single release of "Bang Bang Bang" has yet to surpass sales of "Who Says" on any given day.

Song of the Day: Monster - Paramore
Although smaller (and possibly weaker), Paramore's back with their new single, "Monster"! Do they still have what it takes to produce a great hit?
